This hostel is great. Coolest Manager. Best lobby. Biggest TV. Don’t stay anywhere else on Phuket. Get the airport bus here (only 52 Baht, compared with 550 to Patong in a taxi), and commute to all the beaches via local buses (only 20-25 Baht).

my friends and i stayed at phuket backpacker for 3 days. it is a new hostel and in great condition. it’s very big and very clean. the airconditioning is nice too. it is a great location if you are using phuket as a base for day trips to ko phi phi or other islands since it is close (by tuk-tuk or taxi) to the port. the front desk workers and the owner kul are very helpful as well.

I love this backpacker! Stayed here for 3 weeks and loved every single moment! Kul (Cool) is a great host and has created a very modern and comfortable hostel! This backpacker is located within a 30-sec walk from a great, local night market, many shops, eating spots, and a 7-11! The local buses to all the sights in Phuket leave practically from the front door! Personally I found it easier and cheaper to stay here and catch a local bus to the various beaches for swimming and shopping! Hands down this is the best backpackers I have ever stayed in and considering it has only been open for 4 weeks, things can only get better!

What did you like: Straight out the front door turn right and take ten steps, you have ALL the local buses that go all around Phuket (beats the tuk tuk)for 30B each way, thats only $1.20 AUS. Its also the main road the Vegi Festival is on and the food stalls are right at your front door, the local restaurants are fantastic and for about 50B each you get a full meal and drink! The staff are more than happy to organise everything from your smelly washing for 150B to motorbike hire and all the touristy things that go with Thailand! And lets not forget the CHEAP alochol they have waiting for you in reception. The best stay I had in Phuket.
